On the Verge of Entering Toposaland in South Sudan!
I had the privilege of participating in the quarterly Zoom meeting of the “TNJ” (Toposa, Nyang’atom, Jiye) consortium on May 21st. The consortium consists of at least 22 Missions organizations (including Big Life and The Timothy Initiative) that are actively collaborating to reach the three tribes in South Sudan. SHARE has now joined the group!
SHARE will be sending 15 missionaries to reach the Toposa people through our Toposa Outreach Initiative (www.shareint.org/toposa-outreach), including 10 that God has called from among our own 130 trained Turkana missionaries of Kenya and 5 originating from the Toposa tribe. The immigration paperwork is almost done. All 15 will set their “beautiful feet” in Toposaland in July 2021!
The missionaries’ initial task will be the “Gap Analysis” – to determine pockets of villages that have not been reached with Gospel – beginning with Katodori Payam, Lotiyen and Mogos Payam in Kapoeta East.
I invite you to participate with these servants of the Lord. Your God-given wherewithal will help us SEND them all with the Good News where God has now called them – Toposaland!
The total annual budget for the Initiative is $123,635, which includes the necessary tools and support for the missionaries. By the end of May 2021, God had provided $102,585! I request you to consider making a generous donation online or by mail (shareint.org/give) to meet the remaining balance of $21,050.
“…. And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” (Rom. 10:14-15).
Serving the King of kings with you,
Sammy Murimi
