Our VISION is to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed among the Turkana people of Kenya and His disciples growing deeper in their faith and making disciples of others.
Our MISSION is to equip and deploy indigenous missionaries who share the Gospel and establish disciple-making, holistic congregations throughout Turkanaland.
Since the Disciple-Making Movement (DMM) launched in January 2020, 481 DMM Cell-groups, called “Lighthouses”, have been established in the SHARE-planted churches throughout Turkanaland, and the number of disciples is multiplying rapidly. Learn more about the Disciple-Making Movement that SHARE is implementing to reach the remaining unreached villages with the Gospel in the shortest time possible.
We invite you to join us, so together we can continue to accomplish the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19,20) and witness the entire 1M Turkana population come to know the Lord through the Gospel with believers becoming Christ’s disciples who intentionally make disciples of others.
Since 1997, over 550 people have participated in ministering to the Turkana people through our annual Short-Term Outreach & Relief Mission (STORM) trips. See more information about our annual STORM trips, and explore the amazing opportunity to GO!
The Turkana people live in the northwestern region of Kenya, Africa. They are the second largest pastoralist tribe in Kenya after the Maasai. They speak the Turkana language, which is Nilotic and similar to the Maasai language. The Turkana have maintained their undiluted traditional way of life. They are distinguished as being great survivors, living in harsh and inhospitable terrain.
