“Sharing the Gospel and our very lives…” – 1 Thess. 2:8
OUR VISION & MISSION
VISION: To see the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed among the Turkana people of Kenya and the Toposa people of South Sudan & His disciples growing deeper in their faith and making disciples of others.
MISSION: To equip and deploy indigenous missionaries who share the Gospel and establish disciple-making, holistic congregations throughout Turkanaland, Toposaland, and beyond.
TURKANA OUTREACH
Between 1997 & Today SHARE has…
Reached 792 Turkana villages with the Gospel
Planted 444 churches that are supported by trained, indigenous missionaries
Led 94,259 people to a saving faith and baptized 15,407
Launched the Disciple-Making Movement, where 3,421 believers are learning how to make disciples of others
Divided Turkanaland into 10 strategic Zones and constructed a DMM Center in each to serve as places for worship and training disciples
In April 2021, SHARE commissioned 15 indigenous missionaries whom God has clearly called to take the Gospel to Toposa, South Sudan. The Missionary Team has established a mission base in Kapoeta Town and begun sharing the Gospel in remote villages.
SHARE LAUNCHED THE NEXT-GEN INITIATIVE IN 2021. THIS INITIATIVE CONSTITUTES CONSTRUCTION OF DMM-BASED SENDING CENTERS IN THE NORTHERN ZONES OF TURKANALAND. THE CENTERS WILL BE USED FOR EDUCATING, TRAINING, AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE NEXT GENERATION WHO WILL TAKE THE GOSPEL TO NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES.
We invite you to join us, so together we can continue to accomplish the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19,20) and witness the entire Turkana and Toposa populations come to know the Lord with believers becoming Christ’s disciples who intentionally make disciples of others.
Since 1997, over 550 people have participated in ministering to the Turkana people through our annual Short-Term Outreach & Relief Mission (STORM) trips. See more information about our annual STORM trips, and explore the amazing opportunity to GO!
