    2023

    November

    In November, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-kire Village and Lotakawa Village. He also shared the Gospel in Loriapoet  and Lolemu Villages.  9 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared and 23 believers were baptized this month! He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in through Bible discovery sessions. Phanuel is training 4 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. Lighthouses have been established in 4 villages with 40 disciples attending. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God and for the recent rains. He is especially grateful for the witch doctors that have come to Christ and are sharing Christ within their households! He asks for prayer that there could be a well drilled to provide clean drinking water.

    October

    In October, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-kire Village and Lotakawa Village. He also shared the Gospel in Lokoribok and Kaporongole Village.  8 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared this month. He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in through Bible discovery sessions. Phanuel is training 4 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. Lighthouses have been established in 3 villages with 40 disciples attending. He was able to distribute 8 Audio Bibles and 5 DMM signage bookmarks. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God and for the recent rains.     September

He asks for prayer for God’s intervention from a group in his area that are opposed to him sharing the Gospel message.

    August

He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in their faith journey. He was able to distribute 3 DMM signage bookmarks. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God. He asks for prayer that the people would continue to hear God’s Word, even though they are busy in the fields.

    June

He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in their faith journey. Phanuel is training 4 Champions. 40 disciples are attending Lighthouses. He was able to distribute 4 Audio Bibles and 8 DMM Bookmarks. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God. He asks for prayer that the Toposa people would continue to have an open heart for the Gospel.

    May

    In May, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-kire and Lotakawa Villages. 4 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared this month. He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in their faith journey. Phanuel is still training 2 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. 2 Lighthouses have been established in his villages. He was able to distribute 4 Audio Bibles. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God. He asks for prayer that there would be more new Christians willing to become Champions in their villages and share their faith stories with others.

    April

    In April, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-kire and Lotakawa Villages. He shared the Gospel in a new village: Kamekija. 12 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared and 31 believers were baptized this month! He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in their faith journey. Phanuel is still training 2 believers how to start their own discipleship groups and 2 Lighthouses were established this month. Phanuel distributed 10 Audio Bibles. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God. We praise God for touching one of the local diviners (woman witch doctor) from Lopeta-kire village that gave her life to Christ and was among those baptized this month. Thanks be to God!!

He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them, share God’s Word and disciple them in their faith journey. Phanuel is still training 2 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God. He asks for prayer during the rainy season as travel is more difficult.


    2022

    NOvember

    In November, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-kire and Lotakawa Villages. 7 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared this month. He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them and share God’s Word. He was able to distribute 8 Audio Bibles and 2 DMM Bookmarks. Phanuel is still training 2 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. He is grateful for the positive reception from the Toposa people and they are eager to hear the Word of God. He asks for prayer during the Christmas season as reports of insecurity in the area has been heightened.

    October

    In October, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-gire and Lotakawa Villages. He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them and share God’s Word. 3 people accepted Christ as Savior. Phanuel is still training 3 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. Phanuel states, “The Toposa people are ready to be discipled but a few resistance teams from Catholicism are disrupting the strategy in place.”

    September

    In September, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-gire and Lotakawa Villages. He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them and share God’s Word. 4 people accepted Christ as Savior. Phanuel is still training 3 believers how to start their own discipleship groups.

    August

    In August, Phanuel shared the Gospel in Lopeta-gire, Lotakawa, and Nangormoru Villages. He meets with the believers weekly to pray with them and share God’s Word. 2 people accepted Christ as Savior. Phanuel is still training 3 believers how to start their own discipleship groups.

    June

    In June, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel in Lopeta-gire and Lohile Villages. He will continue meeting with these villages on a weekly basis. He is training 3 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. Lighthouses should be formed soon.

    May

    In May, Phanuel visited 2 Toposa villages – Lopeta gire and Loreboit. He is training 3 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. Reception of the Gospel has been mostly good. Phanuel states, “The believers in Kayesu area are proposing to put a roof over a shelter for their area of worship. As soon as things come together they will proceed.”

    April

    In April, Phanuel continued sharing the Gospel and developing relationships in 3 Toposa villages – Nariama-alim, Loreboit, and Kalipus. 6 people accepted Christ as Savior, and 5 Audio Bibles were distributed. He is training 2 believers how to become Champions; they should be forming Lighthouses soon. Reception of the Gospel has been mostly good. Phanuel prays for more believers to become disciple-makers.

    March

    In March, Phanuel visited 2 Toposa villages – Nariama-alim and Loreboit. He is training 2 believers how to start their own discipleship groups. Reception of the Gospel has been mostly good. However, Phanuel states, “A resistance barrier has been created by Catholics, and we pray that it will be broken for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom and glory in Toposa.


    2021

    September

    In September, Phanuel and the rest of the Toposa Missionary Team traveled back to Kenya to attend driving lessons and receive their new motorbikes. The Team will head back to Toposa soon to continue with surveying, evangelizing, and establishing their mission base. Phanuel has handed off leadership of his church in Turkanaland to a trained pastor, Esther Ekiru Long’oli. More information on Esther and the church/villages she serves will be available soon.

    August

    On August 16th, Phanuel (along with 6 other missionaries) left for their new calling to minister to the people of Toposa, South Sudan. Phanuel’s is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor. He requests prayers for God’s favor and protection in his new mission field in Toposaland.

    July

    In July, Motivator Phanuel ministered to his church family and 36 members attended each Sunday. Phanuel is grateful for the continued support and prayers from his sponsor. Please pray for Phanuel for his upcoming venture to share the Gospel in South Sudan. He has completed all the immigration paperwork.

    June

    In June, Motivator Phanuel ministered to his church family and 35 members attended each Sunday in the mother church. He shared the Gospel message in Nawoyatiira Village and 3  people accepted Christ. He is planning outreaches to Lokaburu, Nakulumei, and Teremkus Villages (10 kms/6 miles, 6 kms/ 4 miles, & 88 kms/5 miles away) sometime in 2021. Phanuel is grateful for the support and prayers that he receives from his sponsor and asks that you pray with him for strength as he walks from village to village. Continue to pray for Phanuel as he has completed all the governmental paperwork in anticipation of leaving for his new mission field in South Sudan in July.  

    May

    In May, Motivator Phanuel ministered to his church family and 33 members attended each Sunday in the mother church. 4 people accepted Christ in his home village this month when the Gospel was shared. He is planning outreaches to Lokaburu, Nakulumei, and Teremkus Villages (10 kms/6 miles, 6 kms/ 4 miles, & 88 kms/5 miles away) sometime in 2021. Phanuel is grateful for the support and prayers that he receives from his sponsor and asks that you pray with him for rain for this drought stricken region and also for strength as he walks from village to village. Continue to pray for Phanuel as he works on getting all the governmental paperwork done so that he can leave to be an embassador of the Gospel to the Toposa People of South Sudan. He is hoping to leave for his new assignment by the end of June. 

    April

    In April, Motivator Phanuel ministered to his church family and 28 members attended each Sunday in the mother church. One person accepted Christ in his home village this month. He is planning outreaches to Lokaburu, Nakulumei, and Teremkus Villages (10 kms/6 miles, 6 kms/ 4 miles, & 88 kms/5 miles away) sometime in 2021. Phanuel is grateful for the support and prayers that he receives from his sponsor and asks that you pray with him for rain for this drought stricken region and also for strength as he walks from village to village. On April 25th, he was commissioned along with 14 other missionaries to be embassadors of the Gospel to the Toposa People of South Sudan. He will be leaving for his new assignment, hopefully by the end of June.
