    In April 2021, SHARE commissioned Simon along with 14 other missionaries to begin outreach to the Toposa people of South Sudan. Simon is originally from Toposa but had been living in Turkana, Kenya. He has served as an evangelist, disciple-maker, and translator.

    2022

    October

    In October, Simon continued sharing the Gospel in Nataaba, Kalominakung, and Nawoyatiir Villages. 25 people were saved and baptized! Simon is still training 5 believers how to start their own Lighthouses (discipleship groups). Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility and need for education for both adults and children. They are grateful for the rainfall.

    September

    In September, Simon continued sharing the Gospel in Nataaba, Kalominakung, and Nawoyatiir Villages. 6 people were saved this month. Simon is still training 5 believers how to start their own Lighthouses (discipleship groups). Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility, need for education for both adults and children, and water scarcity. They are grateful for the rainfall.

    August

    In August, Simon shared the Gospel in Nataaba, Kalominakung, and Nawoyatiir Villages. He continues to meet with the believers weekly, encouraging and discipling them. 4 people were saved this month. Simon is still training 5 believers how to start their own Lighthouses (discipleship groups). Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility, need for education for both adults and children, and water scarcity. They are grateful for the rainfall.

    In June, Simon continued sharing the Gospel in Moruarengan, Kalominakung, and Nawoyatiir Villages. Simon will continue ministering to these villages weekly. 4 people were saved this month. 5 believers are being trained how to start their own Lighthouses (discipleship groups). Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility, need for education for both adults and children, and water scarcity. They are grateful for the the rainfall.

    May

    In May, Simon shared the Gospel in 3 Toposa villages – Moruarengan, Kalominakung, and Nawoyatiir. The people have been positive and welcoming. 5 people were saved this month. 5 believers are being trained how to start their own Lighthouses (discipleship groups). Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility, need for education for both adults and children, and water scarcity. They are grateful for the short rains that came this month.

    April

    In April, Simon shared the Gospel in 3 Toposa villages – Kapelinyang, Kalominakung, and Kakomol-tom. 2 people accepted Christ as Savior, and 15 Audio Bibles were handed out to believers. 3 believers are being trained how to become Champions; they should be forming Lighthouses soon. Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility, need for education for both adults and children, and water scarcity.

    In March, Simon shared the Gospel in 3 Toposa villages – Natirae, Nakamita, and Morua-rengan/Nakwatal. The people have been positive and welcoming. 3 believers are being trained how to start their own Lighthouses (discipleship groups). Some of the major challenges in the area are lack of a medical facility, need for education for both adults and children, and water scarcity.
