The SEED – February 2025
February 2025
“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” – 1 Corinthians 15:20-22

The Gospel is spreading rapidly through Nyang’atomland, Ethiopia, through the work of our Nyang’atom Team of 15 indigenous missionaries and evangelists and the 75 Champions they have trained! The team continues to follow up with the 15 villages they have reached to provide more DMM training and encourage believers in the faith. Each of these villages already has a Lighthouse established with a total of 750 disciples being taught how to make disciples of others. The Bible Kits are essential in making it all happen!
In January, 38 people accepted Christ as Savior after hearing the Gospel, and 5 believers were baptized! The team distributed another 12 DMM Bookmarks and are requesting more Bible Kits for the increasing number of disciples. Share will be providing the team with more Bible Kits and motorbikes and more Bible Kits soon to accelerate their outreach efforts even more. They have identified 45 new villages to be reached with the Gospel this year.

In January, the Toposa Missionary Team followed up with Lighthouses in 40 villages, providing more DMM training and encouragement. There are 156 trained Champions teaching 1,248 disciples how to make disciples of others. Another 32 people gave their lives to Christ; however, no baptisms were done due to water scarcity. The new believers are taught the importance of having a healthy prayer life and encouraged to join Lighthouses.
Pray that the number of Champions will continue to increase, many Lighthouses will be birthed, and the Glory of the Lord would saturate Toposaland through His Word! As requested by the team, Share will provide them with more Bible Kits soon.

During the last week of January, the Share Team from the central office in Lodwar visited Lomicho Village in Lokori Zone, about 80 miles from Lodwar, where they had planted a church back in November 2024. The purpose was to follow up with the new church and provide additional DMM training. A total of 249 villagers attended the DMM teachings, which were divided into gender-age appropriate groups.
The team also screened The Jesus Film with 220 in attendance and held open-air meetings with 234 in attendance. A total of 91 people received Christ as Savior during the excursion. None were baptized due to water scarcity.
There are now 7 unreached villages remaining in Lokori Zone, which the team plans to reach over the next two years. The team traveled back to the zone in February to reach another 4 villages, with plans to plant a new church among them! Pray for success for the team and that many will come to know Jesus. (Be on the lookout for the results in next month’s SEED newsletter!)
There are 7 Motivators/Evangelists in Lokori Zone overseeing 29 churches. A total of 95 Champions have been trained and are each leading their own Lighthouse. Share will continue to provide Bible Kits as the Gospel spreads throughout the region to ensure all believers have access to the Word of God!

TRAILHEAD LOMILMIL SENDING CENTER
(Est. July 2022)
Joseph Kotome teaches approximately 50 pupils at the Trailhead-Lomilmil Sending Center, 5 days a week. As this center is now well established, the students have excelled in learning. Most of them are now proficient in reading and simple math!
Teaching them the Word of God remains a priority. In January, the class learned about the Love of God. They memorized Psalm 119:11. They even know how to share their testimonies but are still building the courage to do so outside of the classroom.
Church service is held on Sundays by Motivator Thomas Lokora, with about 80 members in attendance. A women’s fellowship group continues to meet on Wednesday afternoons at the center and youth choir practice on Saturdays.
Pray for provision of clean water and food at the center and that the children would gain the confidence to share their testimonies with their family and friends outside of the classroom.

Birthing Faith in Christ by Engaging the Hearer with the Word
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Rom. 10:17).
In the context of the Apostle Paul’s Letter to The Romans, the phrase Word of God is identical to Word of Christ, which refers to The Gospel or “the Good News about Christ”. And it’s only in the hearing and obeying the “Good News” that faith in Christ for salvation is birthed. Consequently, in order to birth faith in the heart of the hearer, it becomes imperative that the Good News be in close proximity to the ear of the listener. And that’s exactly what our indigenous Staff, Missionaries, Evangelists, and Lighthouse Champions in our region of ministry have been called to do.
These “beautiful feet” (Rom. 10:15) are trekking tough terrain on foot and motorbikes, determined to engage the ears and hearts of oral learners in very remote villages with the Good News, and to witness belief, obedience, and birthing of faith that’s leading to salvation everyday. They are teaching new believers how the Word of God becomes “a lamp for my feet” and “a light on my path” (Ps. 119:105); and how to “hide” the Word of God in their hearts to keep them from sinning against Him (Ps. 119:11).
Share’s primary ministry is to equip these faithful servants of God with the essential tools they need – the Bible Kits (“BK”) – that makes the birthing of faith and surrender to Christ among the hearers happen.
I invite you to support the BK Initiative by committing to purchase as many Bible Kits as your resources may enable. You can do so online by clicking the donate button below or by mailing your donation to the address below.
“So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly…” (Acts 6:7).
Serving the King of kings with you,
Sammy
