    2023

    December

    In December, Monitor Silas reported that the people of Urum Village are pastoralists, make charcoal and have small businesses. There are 280 members that attend church regularly in the mother church. The 16 Champions are each leading a Lighthouse and the 65 disciples have led 19 others to Christ in 2023. Silas travels the 3 – 29 miles to the 5 daughter churches either by walking or using the motorbike provided by SHARE. He travels to Lokoriama weekly and all the rest monthly. There are 19 Champions each leading a Lighthouse in the daughter churches and the 53 disciples have led 18 people to Christ in 2023. Silas has  also identifed 1 unreached village about 6 miles from the mother church and he plans to visit that village in 2024 and share the Gospel with the people there.

    November

    In November, Monitor Silas held services in 5 churches. About 154 attended each Sunday in the mother church; and 212 in the 4 daughter churches combined. He is praying for the missionaries and their families and also for those that are migrating and for an end to the drought.

    October

    In October, Monitor Silas held services in 3 churches. About 164 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 169 attended in 2 of the daughter churches combined. He did an outreach in Natape Village and 1 person gave their life to Christ. He asks for pray for the many that are migrating because of the drought conditions, for peace in Turkana, and for much needed rain.

    September

    In September, Monitor Silas held services in 4 churches. About 212 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 185 attended in 3 of the daughter churches combined. He did an outreach in Kakoyle Village and 58 people gave their lives to Christ! He asks for pray for the many that are migrating because of the drought conditions, for peace in Turkana, and for much needed rain.

    August

    In August, Monitor Silas held services in 4 churches. About 195 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 217 attended in 3 of the daughter churches combined. Twelve new members joined the mother church this month and 4 joined the daughter churches. He asks for pray for the many that are migrating because of the drought conditions, for the families and the church and for safety.

    July

    In July, Monitor Silas held services in 3 churches. About 161 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 95 attended in 2 of the daughter churches combined. Silas also shared the Gospel in Nakiriesia Village, and 8 people accepted Christ as Savior. He asks for pray for the many that are migrating because of the drought conditions.

    June

    In June, Monitor Silas held services in 5 churches. About 168 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 240 attended in 4 of the daughter churches combined. Silas also shared the Gospel in Nataparin Village, and 14 people accepted Christ as Savior.

    May

    In May, Monitor Silas held services in 4 churches. About 167 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 201 attended in 3 of the daughter churches combined. Three new members joined the mother church and 4 joined the daughter churches. He did an outreach in Parakacha Village and 3 people accepted Christ. He now had 89 believers being discipled. Silas is grateful for God’s protection and care.

    April

    In April, Monitor Silas held services in 5 churches. About 164 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 236 attended in 4 of the daughter churches combined. He did an outreach in Nakiriesia Village and 8 people accepted Christ as Saviour. There are 8 Champions under his leadership who are discipling 58 disciples!

    March

    In March, Monitor Silas held services in 4 churches. About 163 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 186 attended in 3 of the daughter churches combined.

    February

    In February, Monitor Silas held services in 4 churches. About 173 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 250 attended in 3 of the daughter churches combined. Nineteen new members joined the daughter churches this month. Four people accepted Christ as Savior when the Gospel message was shared in Nakitok Village! There are 9 Champions teaching 58 disciples how to make disciples of others.

    January

    In January, Monitor Silas held services in 5 churches. About 174 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 276 attended in 4 of the daughter churches combined. 19 people accepted Christ as Savior, and 8 were baptized! There are 8 Champions teaching 64 disciples how to make disciples of others.


    2022

    December

    In December, Monitor Silas reported that there are 182 members in the mother church in Lokiriama Village. In the daughter churches, there are 56 members in Urum Village, 41 in Natelo Village, 33 in Nakwapua Village, 60 in Lochor-Engikalio Village, and 50 in Kakore Village. There are 16 Champions who are each leading their own Lighthouse where they are teaching disciples how to make disciples of others. Calistus plans to reach 1 more village in 2023 – Kaichom!

    November

    In November, Monitor Silas ministered in all of his churches. About 176 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, 67 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-akingol Village, 77 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-alomala and 62 in the daughter church in Atalokamusio Village. Silas also shared the Gospel in Kakole Village, and 60 people accepted Christ as Savior and were baptized!

    October

    In October, Monitor Silas ministered in all of his churches. About 177 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, 64 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-akingol Village, 55 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-alomala, and 59 in the daughter church in Lomakori Village. Four people accepted Christ when he did an outreach in Kakore Village this month. Silas asks that you pray with him for rain.

    September

About 140 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, 75 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-akingol Village, and 65 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-alomala. Silas also shared the Gospel in Lomokori Village, and 4 people accepted Christ as Savior.

    August

    In August, Monitor Silas ministered in 3 of his churches. About 146 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, 79 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-akingol Village, and 61 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-alomala. Silas also shared the Gospel in Kakiyok Village again, and 12 people accepted Christ as Savior.

    In July, Monitor Silas ministered in 2 of his churches. About 241 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 67 attended in the daughter church in Lochor-akingol Village. Silas also shared the Gospel in Kakiyook Village, and 4 people accepted Christ as Savior.

    In June, Monitor Silas held services in 5 churches. About 224 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 235 attended in 4 of the daughter churches combined. Silas also shared the Gospel in Nakuja-ekalale Village, and 34 people accepted Christ as Savior!

    In May, Monitor Silas held services in 4 of his churches. About 215 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 313 attended in 3 of the daughter churches combined. Silas also shared the Gospel in Kakiyok Village, and 6 people accepted Christ as Savior.

    April

    In April, Monitor Silas held services in 4 of his churches, and 15 people were saved when the Gospel message was shared in Kakore Village, where one of the daughter churches are located! Approximately 130 believers met for worship in the mother church and 309 in 3 of the daughter churches combined. Silas plans to reach another village in August. He asks that you pray with him for funds to complete their church building projects and for those that are migrating.

    March

    In March, Monitor Silas held services in 3 of his churches, and 16 people were saved! There are 49 disciples learning how to make disciples of others. Silas plans to reach another village in August.

    February

    In February, Monitor Silas held services in all 6 of his churches. He also ministered in Lochor-Alomala Village, and 8 people were saved! About 197 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 544 attended in the 5 daughter churches combined. 21 new members were added to the daughter churches this month! Silas prays for peace within their borders, and also safety and for those affected by the drought.

    January

    In January, Monitor Silas continued to minister to all of his churches. He ministers to the daughter churches on a monthly basis doing homestead-to-homestead evangelism and discipleship training. He has two outreaches planned for this coming year. About 181 members attended each Sunday in the mother church. Silas prays for safety for him and for those affected by the drought.

    In December, Monitor Silas held services in all 3 of his churches. He also ministered in Lochor-alomala Village, and 8 people were saved. About 145 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 202 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. Silas is grateful for the support that he receives from SHARE International and asks that you pray for safety for him and for those affected by the drought.

    November

    In November, Monitor Silas held services in all 3 of his churches. He also ministered in Lochor-angikalalio Village, and 23 people were saved! About 55 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 179 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined.

    October

    In October, Monitor Silas held services in all 3 of his churches. He also ministered in Lomokori Village, and 12 people were saved. About 59 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 207 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined.

    September

    In September, Monitor Silas held services in all 3 of his churches. About 67 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 179 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. There are 43 disciples in the 6 Lighthouses learning how to make disciples of others.

    August

    In August, Monitor Silas ministered to all 3 of his church families. Approximately 69 believers met each Sunday in the mother church in Urum Village and 179 met in the daughter churches in Nakwapua and Natelo Villages combined. There are now 43 disciples attending Lighthouses. He also did an outreach in Moroling’a Village and 10 people accepted Christ as Savior.  Simon is planning an outreach to Nacharakan Village, about 18 kms/11.1 miles away, in November.

    July

    In July, Monitor Silas ministered to all 3 of his church families. Approximately 78 believers met each Sunday in the mother church in Urum Village and 221 met in the daughter churches in Nakwapua and Natelo Villages combined. He now has 6 Champions leading 6 Lighthouses. He also did an outreach in Komio Village and 12 people accepted Christ as Savior.  Simon is planning an outreach to Nacharakan Village, about 18 kms/11.1 miles away, in November.

    June

    In June, Monitor Silas held services in 2 churches. About 53 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 104 attended in the daughter church in Nakwapua Village. He did an outreach in Kaekoroeakwan Village and 6 people gave their lives to Christ.

    May

    In May, Monitor Silas ministered to the people in his church families, where 101 members attended services in the mother church and 224 members attended services in the two daughter church. 16 new members were added to the daughter churches this month and 12 to the mother church. He did an outreach in Kalokamussio Village and 10 people gave their lives to Christ. He is planning an outreach to Nacharakan Village (16 kms/ 10 miles away) sometime in 2021.

    April

    In April, Monitor Silas ministered to the people in his church families, where 65 members attended services in the mother church and 151 members attended services in the two daughter church. He did an outreach in Ngalemtogoi Village and 4 people gave their lives to Christ. There are now 43 disciples enrolled in Lighthouses and 7 of them have shared their faith with others and led them to Christ this month. He is planning an outreach to Nacharakan Village (16 kms/ 10 miles away) sometime in 2021.
