    2023

    December

    In December, Motivator John reported that the people in Lokituang Village sell charcoal and keep livestock for their livelihood. The mother church here has 348 members and there are 6 Champions each leading a Lighthouse. The 36 disciples have led 4 others to Christ in 2023.  John travels between 4 and 15.5 miles weekly to reach the daughter churches either by motorbike or walking. There are 462 members in the daughter church in Nanalongoria Village and 345 members in Kao Village. There are 5 Champions in these villages combined and they each have a Lighthouse. These disciples have led 3 people to Christ in 2023. John has identified 3 more unreached villages in his area. They are between 3 and 9 miles from the mother church. Outreaches to these villages are planned for 2024.

    November

    In November, Motivator John ministered to 5 churches. About 385 believers met weekly in the mother church in Lokituang. In the daughter churches 282 believers met at the church in Koriorang, 490 in Kangipusia, 441 in Manalongoria Village, and 162 in Kao Village. Eight disciples shared their faith stories with others. Twenty one people accepted Christ and joined the mother church. He distributed 8 Audio Bibles this month. John is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor.     October

    In October, Motivator John ministered to 5 churches. About 348 believers met weekly in the mother church in Lokituang. In the daughter churches 421 believers met at the church in Koriorang, 115 in Kangipusia, 489 in Manalongoria Village, and 282 in Kao Village. Eight disciples shared their faith stories with others and 2 people accepted Christ. He distributed 2 hard-copy Bibles this month.     December

    In December, Monitor John reported that there are 348 members in the mother church in Lokituang Village. In the daughter churches, there are 321 in Kao Village, and 400 in Nanalongoria Village. John plans to reach 3 more villages in 2023 – Chabaa, Natoo, & Kangarukia!

    November

    In November, Monitor John ministered in the mother church, and about 246 members attended each Sunday. 16 people accepted Christ as Savior! John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor.

    October

    In October, Monitor John ministered in 2 churches. About 275 members attended each Sunday in the mother church and 266 attended in the daughter church in Manaalongoria Village. 4 people accepted Christ as Savior. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He prays for rain.

    September

    In September, Monitor John ministered in all 3 churches. About 289 members attended each Sunday in the mother church and 390 in the 2 daughter churches combined. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for sustaining them and granting them peace. He asks that you pray with him for the many that are suffering due to hunger.

    August

    In August, Monitor John held services in all 3 churches. About 289 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 415 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. 16 people accepted Christ as Savior this month. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for sustaining them even though there are many hardships.

    June

    In June, Monitor John ministered in the mother church, and about 219 members attended each Sunday. 10 people accepted Christ as Savior. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He prays for peace during the election in Kenya happening in August.

About 260 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 461 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. 5 people accepted Christ as Savior.     April

    In April, Monitor John held services in all 3 churches. About 199 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 705 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. There are 18 disciples learning how to make disciples of others. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for the rain they received this month.

    March

    In March, Monitor John ministered to 2 of his church families. About 199 believers met for worship in the mother church in Lokitaung Village and 434 believers met in the two daughter churches combined. Nineteen people accepted Christ when he shared the Gospel with them. He is planning 3 outreaches in 2022 to the following villages: Lokumwai, Kakelei, and Kopotea. He is grateful for the support that he receives and asks that you pray with him for strength to walk from village to village, for safety, for good health and to remain strong against the traditional beliefs of witchcraft.

    February

    In February, Monitor John ministered to 2 of his church families. About 171 believers met for worship in the mother church in Karioreng Village and 390 believers met in the daughter church in Manaalongoria Village. John is grateful that he has been chosen to do the work of God among the Turkana people. Nine people accepted Christ when he shared the Gospel with them. He is planning 3 outreaches in 2022 to the following villages: Lokumwai, Kakelei, and Kopotea. He is grateful for the support that he receives.

    January

    In January, Monitor John ministered to his church families. He is planning outreaches to 8 different villages over the year ranging in distance of 8 kms/ 5 miles to 25 kms/15.5 miles from the mother church. John is grateful for the support that he receives from his sponsor.


    2021

    December

    In December, Monitor John ministered to his church families. Approximately 171 believers met weekly in the mother church and 529 in the two daughter churches combined. John is grateful for the support that he receives. He is planning outreaches in the coming year and asks that you pray with him to stay strong in his faith and for strength as he walks from village to village.

    November

    In November, Monitor John ministered to his church families where approximately 246 believers met weekly in the mother church in Karioreng Village and 557 in the two daughter churches in Manaalongoria and Kangipusia Villages. When the Gospel was shared this month 23 people accepted Christ! John is grateful for the support that he receives and is excited to have an Educational Center soon to be constructed in his village so that the youth can not only learn to read and write, but also learn about God and learn to share their faith with others so that they can become missionaries of the Gospel to the countries around them. He is asking for prayers as he needs to replace his house as it was recently blown away in a strong wind.

    October

    In October, Motivator John replaced his mentor and spiritual father, the late Motivator, Peter Ewoton. John has handed off leadership of his churches in Kariworeng, Kangipusia, and Kajukjuk to a new pastor, Meshack Ikai. John will now oversee the churches in Lokitaung, Mana-alongoria, Kachoda, and Kao Villages. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He prays for strength as he walks long distances between villages, safety along the borders, protection from diseases, and for his family as the roof was blown off their house recently.

    September

    In September, Motivator John held services in all 3 churches, and 8 people were saved. About 189 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 558 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He is planning outreaches to Lokumwai Village, about 11 kms/6.8 miles away, Kakelai Village, about 25 kms/15.5 miles away, and Kopotea Village, about 10 kms/6.2 miles away, sometime in the future. He is also grateful for the donors who are providing funds to build Sending Centers in Kangipusia and Sasame Villages to train the children to be Christ’s ambassadors.

    August

About 114 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 522 attended in the 2 daughter churches combined. John is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He requests prayers for peace to reign along the border and for God to provide for the construction of his home, as it was blown away by strong winds.
