April 2025

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
– Romans 5:8

In March, the Nyang’atom Missionary Team shared the Gospel in 15 villages. They found that the people were thirsty for the Word of God, with 45 accepting Christ. The area has had rain; so the team was able to baptize 23 believers! The new believers are encouraged to listen to their Audio Bible, pray, and join an established Lighthouse in their village. They are also encouraged to share how they came to faith and how their lives have changed since with their neighbors. These villages will be revisited by the missionaries at least every two weeks. There are currently 75 Champions each leading a Lighthouse, with 750 disciples learning how to make disciples of others!

The Nyang’atom Missionary Team also did an outreach event and planted a new church in Nang’orangikito Village in March as well. They shared the Gospel in seven surrounding villages: Kotol, Lomeat, Lopeyo, Lokudongole, Napedorung, Lochomin, and Nachelekunyuk. They did homestead-to-homestead visitations, screened The Jesus Film, and held open air meetings and DMM teaching sessions. Over 600 people attended these events, with 265 accepting Christ and 29 baptized! A new church was planted, and thirty new believers committed to attending the church regularly. Missionary Kula Mana will oversee the new church.

Pray for the team as hostilities between the Nyang’atom and the Turkana tribes have recently arisen.

Sunday worship services have begun in four villages in Toposaland – Lopetakire, Moruagilimo, Nalemsekon & Lopiama! These are the first churches planted by our Toposa missionaries!

In March, the Toposa Missionary Team revisited 32 villages to encourage believers in their walk with the Lord. They also shared the Gospel in 24 new villages. A total of 87 people accepted Christ. They were not able to baptize anyone as the rivers were dry.

The team continues to teach believers to listen to their Audio Bibles, pray, and share their faith with others. Another 200 Audio Bibles were distributed to help the believers continue to hear God’s Word and grow. The team is encouraging the Champions of Lighthouses to get together with other Lighthouses in their village and spend time worshipping and listening to the Word of God together, which will potentially grow into a church.

Pray for the team as they are on a sabbatical in April, returning to their homes to be with family and to get yearly maintenance done on their motorbikes. They will be returning to the field in mid-May.

There are twelve Motivators overseeing 41 churches and 72 Lighthouses in Lorugum Zone. In March, the Motivators did homestead-to-homestead evangelism in their respective villages and met with the churches and Lighthouses they oversee. Twenty-nine people accepted Christ through their ministry.

In late-March, the Share Team from Lodwar traveled to Lorugum Zone to partner with the Motivators for an outreach and church plant. They visited four villages: Lomukusei, Naberu, Nakoubuin, and Lokaburu. The Jesus Film was screened in all four villages, with 383 people in attendance and 87 people accepting Christ! The team also did homestead-to-homestead evangelism, gender-age-appropriate teachings, and open-air meetings. Overall, they shared the Gospel with more than 1,100 people! A total of 226 people accepted Christ, and 50 believers were baptized! Ten new believers committed to becoming trained Champions and were given Audio Bibles. A new church was planted in Lomukusei Village! This church will be shepherded by Motivator Ayengyeng Lotoom. He will also train the proposed Champions who will eventually start their own Lighthouses!

ICM-TRAILHEAD-KANGIPUSIA SENDING CENTER
(Est. June 2022)

The ICM-Trailhead-Kangipusia Sending Center is a very busy place! There are about 114 pupils attending classes under the tuteledge of Samwel Lemuya and Simon Ekal. They have divided the class into two groups. The younger class meets outside in an enclosed area with desks. They also use this outdoor area to provide lunch for the children. The older group meets inside the classroom. The pupils are continuing to progress. In March they memorized John 3:16 and Proverbs 9:10. There is a need for regular clean water and food for the children as attendance drops when there isn’t food.
A couple afternoons each week the center is also used for other groups – The Timothy Initiative, Women’s Fellowship, youth choir practice, and church services. Between 70 and 100 people meet for church on on Sundays. The local pastor is Simon Ekal.

KIRST-WUEBBELS-KASUGURU SENDING CENTER
(Est. December 2024)

Missionary Malaki Ekitela is both the teacher and pastor at the Kirst-Wuebbels-Kasuguru Sending Center. They are still looking for a full-time teacher to take over the teaching responsibilities. About 30 pupils attend classes here. This Sending Center was just completed a few months ago, so they are waiting for the desks and supplies that have been ordered to be delivered. In the meantime, they are starting their education using what they have.
Next-Gen Coordinator, Mary Esinyen, had the opportunity to share about God’s love with the children. She shared John 3:16 and explained how much God loved each one of them. He loved them so much that He sent His Son to die for their sins. Two of the pupils indicated that they wanted to receive God’s forgiveness and invite Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. Mary had the privilege of leading them to Christ! This is the primary purpose of the Sending Centers – making disciples, who in turn will go and make disciples of others.

The Bottom Line

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

That’s the power of the Written/Spoken Word of God! It doesn’t matter what else we do, the sinful human heart cannot be transformed by anything else. Only the Word of God has the power to do so. The Apostle Paul declared in Romans 1:16 that only the Word of God has the power to impact the human life. That’s the BOTTOMLINE! In Acts 9, he shares his own testimony about how the Incarnate Word of God – Christ Himself – transformed his life. You probably have a similar testimony if you have put your faith in Christ as Savior.

Over the years, we have shared with you through our regular bulletins and video clips testimonies of men, women, and children in Turkanaland (Kenya), Toposaland (South Sudan), and Nyang’atomland (Ethiopia) whose lives have been transformed from the sinful “patterns of this world” by the renewing of their minds through the Written/Spoken Word of God.  And it can only impact people’s lives as it’s presented to them (Rom. 10:14-15). There’s no short-cut. The Thessalonians received the Word and welcomed it; and it transformed their lives (1 Thess. 2:13). Jesus prayed that the Father would sanctify His disciples with the truth (Jn. 17:17). His Word is the Truth. He says to those that HEARD and RECEIVED the Word He had SPOKEN to them that His Word had made them clean (Jn 15:3).

Share’s “bottomline” is to do all possible to ensure the Word of God is presented to those that have never heard. That’s the reason for our Bible Kits Initiative. And that can only happen as we make the Word available to those that God has called to distribute it – our indigenous Staff, Missionaries, Evangelists, and Champions. To date, they have distributed 4,730 Hard-Copy Bibles and 15,964 Audio Bibles among the three tribes. Thousands more people are eagerly waiting to HEAR and RECEIVE the Word. Share is all set to continue to take the Word to them. We want to saturate that whole region with another 25,000 Bible Kits (BKs) at $50/BK in the next 3 years (7,000 in 2025, 9,000 in 2026 & 9,000 in 2027).

I invite you to examine your own “bottomline” – the resources that the Lord has placed at your disposal – and kindly consider facilitating in impacting souls with God’s own transforming power. You can make that happen by donating toward any number of Bible Kits online or by mail to the address below. To learn more about the BK Initiative visit www.shareint.org/bible-kits.

THANK YOU for all your support.

Serving the King of kings with you,

Sammy
