The SEED – September 2025

SEPTEMBER 2025 EDITION
…Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children.
– Deuteronomy 4:10
– Deuteronomy 4:10

Many CAN’T READ, but they can HEAR, BELIEVE, be BORN AGAIN and SHARE
But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand. – Acts 4:4.
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. – Romans 10:14 & 17
For faith that leads to believing in Christ Jesus to be birthed in the hearts of unreached people-groups, they have to hear the “Breaking News” in their own language first; yes, they have to listen and hear the recorded Spoken Word that alone can break a sinner free from sin by birthing faith that leads to salvation in Christ. And yes, it’s the breaking Good News that Share is presenting daily to oral learners who live in very remote villages in Turkanaland (Kenya), Toposaland (South Sudan), and Nyang’atomland (Ethiopia)! And yes, that’s what the Bible Kit (BK) Initiative is all about.
Here below is a testimony from one oral learner who received an Audio Bible from Share, heard the Spoken Word, believed, confessed, repented, was broken and transformed by the power of the Word, then passioned by the Holy Spirit to go herald the Breaking Good News with others in her own village and beyond. I invite you to listen to Pauline Akiru’s testimony, then kindly consider supporting the BK Initiative that God is using to make it all happen.
Please see the BK Initiative Fundraiser-Meter at the bottom that indicates where we currently stand and how you can help. Come alongside us to help purchase and distribute many more Bible Kits in the Name of the Lord. We appreciate your prayers and support in this life-changing endeavor very much.

On August 18th, the Next-Gen Coordinator, Mary Esinyen, and Frontiers Outreach Coordinator, Jackson Erus, traveled to Naoyapee Village in Nyang’atom, Ethiopia. They spent the next 4 days training 81 Champions and 15 Missionaries and Evangelists how to use the DMM Curriculum, focusing primarily on how to effectively share the Gospel message with children. Their goal was to teach the attendees how to empower the local Sunday School teachers to share the Gospel message effectively with all ages, so as to establish healthy churches in the Nyang’atom region.
Everyone was very engaged and active in the group and relational sessions. The literacy rate is extremely low in this area, so the DMM Bookmarks and Audio Bibles are great tools for the teachers and Champions. They were taught how to use the BK tools they had received and encouraged to form Lighthouses in their villages.
Pray for the attendees that they will continue to grow in their walk with God and have a passion to share the Gospel message with the children. As more people come to Christ, more BKs are needed so that they, in turn, can use these tools to share the Gospel with others.
The Nyang’atom Missionary Team visited 26 villages in August. The people remain receptive to the Gospel message, with 36 accepting Christ. The new believers are encouraged to share their story with their friends, and to join an established Lighthouse to learn how to follow Jesus. Currently, there are 105 trained Champions leading Lighthouses in 30 villages, with 983 disciples attending. The team distributed 75 Audio Bibles and 35 DMM signage bookmarks in August.

With the Toposa missionaries returning to Turkanaland in mid-August to reconnect with their families, the number of villages that were reached in August is fewer than usual. The team reached 12 new villages and revisited 27 villages before they went on furlough. When they shared the Gospel, 14 people acknowledge their need of a Savior and gave their lives to Christ. These new believers were encouraged to join a Lighthouse in their respective villages.
Currently, there are Lighthouses in 101 villages, led by 159 Champions, with 1,352 disciples attending! With new believers added weekly to the newly formed Churches/Lighthouses, more Bible Kits are needed.
In mid-September, the missionaries returned to Toposaland to continue their mission of sharing the Gospel and building on the seeds of faith that they have planted.

The missionaries meet regularly for prayer before they go into the field, committing their lives to God and entrusting Him for the results.

On August 18th, the Share Team traveled northwest to Ekaburu Village in the Kalobeyei Zone, about 144 miles from the SEND Center in Lodwar. The journey was challenging due to recent rains, which left the roads muddy and caused the team to get stuck a couple of times. Despite the obstacles, their mission was clear: to share the Gospel and plant a new church in Ekaburu.
That same evening, the team screened The Jesus Film, drawing 98 people, 12 of whom gave their lives to Christ. Over the next two days, they ministered through homestead-to-homestead evangelism, prayer for the sick, ministry teachings, and open-air meetings. In total, more than 500 people heard the Gospel, 73 accepted Christ, and 25 were baptized. Fifty-four of the new adult believers committed to regularly attending the new church, and 10 expressed interest in being trained as Champions. Motivator Esther Long’oli has been assigned to shepherd and oversee the growth of this newborn congregation.
Currently, there are 18 Motivators/Evangelists serving in the Kalobeyei Zone, shepherding 54 churches and overseeing 111 Lighthouses with a total of 892 disciples.

On August 27th, the Share Team from the SEND Center in Lodwar traveled to Kangepetian Village in Lokori Zone, 144 miles south of Lodwar, where they spent four days sharing the Gospel message. They screened The Jesus Film the first night they arrived in the village, drawing 295 people—19 of whom accepted Christ!
Over the following three days they continued their mission with homestead-to-homestead evangelism, open-air meetings, ministry teaching sessions. There were about 500 people reached during this time, with another 105 people coming to Christ. There was enough water in the river to do baptisms, and 49 people were baptized! The team was also able to distribute 60 Audio Bibles to the new believers, 12 of whom proposed to be trained as Champions!
Continue to pray for the believers in Lokori Zone as they daily face threats from the neighboring Pokot tribe. Currently, there are 7 Motivators/Evangelists in this zone that oversee 24 churches and 78 Lighthouses, and 464 disciples being discipled.

Advancing the Knowledge of God in East Africa
The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 9:10 that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Yet, as Hosea 4:6 warns, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Around the world—and especially in parts of East Africa—many still live without access to the life-transforming knowledge of God.
In regions such as Turkanaland (Kenya), Toposaland (South Sudan), and Nyang’atomland (Ethiopia), countless men, women, and children long to hear the Word of God but lack the necessary tools and resources. For communities to be saturated with the wisdom that comes from knowing Christ, we must equip dedicated believers to disciple others – creating a multiplying impact that extends far beyond geographical and cultural boundaries.
At Share International, we are witnessing significant growth in the number of disciples across our three ministry regions. However, this growth has created an urgent need for Bible Kits (BKs) to sustain and expand this movement. Without sufficient tools, many new disciples remain unequipped, and opportunities to reach the unreached may be lost.
Why Your Support Matters
- Every donation directly places resources in the hands of believers who are committed to spreading the Gospel.
- Each Bible Kit equips disciples to share the Word effectively, ensuring that the
knowledge of God reaches both current and future generations.
- Your partnership extends beyond material support – it leads to eternal impact. As
Romans 10:17 declares, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.”
Our Appeal
We invite you to partner with us in expanding the Kingdom of God across Kenya, South Sudan, and Ethiopia. Your financial support will:
- Provide critical tools for discipleship.
- Enable outreach to unreached communities.
- Transform lives by bringing people from darkness into the light of Christ.
Every contribution – large or small – brings us closer to the vision of a region filled with the knowledge and wisdom of the Holy One. Together, we can ensure that many more people hear, believe, and live by the Word of God.
We deeply value your continued support and partnership. May God bless you abundantly as you invest in advancing His Kingdom.
