OCTOBER 2025 EDITION

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
– 1 Thessalonians 2:13

The impact of the Bible Kit (BK) Initiative since its conception a year ago is absolutely phenomenal! Simply put, distribution of the BKs has caused multiplication of believers at a significant rate right at the grassroots level where Lighthouses are being birthed and new believers beginning to be grounded in the Word through faith.

Since 2020, we’ve witnessed a steady year-by-year increase in disciples through the Disciple-Making Movement/Church-Planting Movement (DMM/CPM) implemented by our dedicated staff and indigenous missionaries. This year has shown the most remarkable growth yet, as BKs have begun to be distributed! As of September, the number of Champions has grown from 1,106 to 1,179, and the number of disciples has risen from 7,561 to 8,422!

We are now on track to see the number of disciple-makers more than double by 2027. Our goal is to distribute at least 25,000 BKs by then, empowering many more to know Christ and make Him known.

I invite and encourage you to continue supporting this phenomenal growth by donating as many BKs as you can at $50/BK. Please see the BK Fundraiser-Meter below for the update on BK funds raised by September this year.

Join us in spreading the Good News to the very remote unreached villages in our region of ministry through the BK Initiative. Your prayers and donation will go a long way to make that happen.

All over the (land), the Spirit in moving,
All over the (land), as the prophets said it would be,
All over the (land), there’s a mighty revelation, of the glory of the Lord as the water cover the sea” (Roy Turner, 1967).

It’s happening! Hallelujah!

In September, the Nyang’atom Missionary Team was elated when Share provided them with new motorbikes, tenting equipment, and more Audio Bibles! These tools will enhance the teams mobility and they will have a place to lay their heads as they travel from village to village.

The team visited 30 villages in September. They are still finding the people very eager to hear the Word of God and the Good News of salvation. This month 38 people accepted Christ, and because they had a lot of rain, 8 people were baptized in Arus Village! These new believers will be visited again in about 2 weeks. In the meantime, they were encouraged to join a Lighthouse in their village. There are now 125 Champions leading Lighthouses in 30 villages with 1,016 disciples participating. The team also distributed another 150 Audio Bibles and 80 DMM signage bookmarks to believers.

Continue to pray for the team as they travel; for safety as there has been some unrest between the Toposa (South Sudan) and Merile (Ethiopia) tribes.

In September, the Toposa Missionary Team revisited 32 villages and shared the Gospel in 14 new villages. During these outreaches, 42 people accepted Christ, and 16 were baptized! Two new churches were planted- in Nakorimomo Village and Nanguromong Village. This brings the total to 9 churches planted in Toposaland this year!

New believers are encouraged to share their testimonies, remain steadfast in prayer, and join fellow Christians in their villages through established Lighthouses. The team will visit them weekly for continued encouragement and discipleship. There are currently 179 Champions leading Lighthouses in 105 villages with 1,512 disciples in attendance! The team also distributed another 150 Audio Bibles, and 60 DMM Bookmarks. With the church growing so rapidly, the need for more Audio Bibles is greater than ever. The team is working diligently with the Champions to equip and empower them to lead the newly planted churches.

Share delivered 4 new motorbikes along with 19 tents for the team to use as they travel from village to village.

DMM Training in Toposaland

Next-Gen Coordinator, Mary Esinyen, and Frontiers Outreach Coordinator, Jackson Erus, traveled to Nakeyiya Village in Toposaland to hold DMM training for Sunday School teachers from September 22nd – 26th. There was strong representation from all four clusters of Toposaland, with a total of 80 participants including Champions, missionaries, and Sunday School teachers. By equipping the Sunday School teachers to share God’s Word with children, the team is helping reach the next generation with the Gospel at an early age—empowering them, in turn, to teach others. Everyone who attended was eager to learn and grow in their ministry.

Pray for the Sunday School teachers and Champions, that they would grow in their faith, and that more Bible Kits would be available for the believers in the villages. Also pray that the lead Sunday School teachers would faithfully follow-up with the Champions and Sunday School teachers in their area, encouraging and strengthening them.

In September, the Share Team shared the Good News of Jesus in two villages in Kachoda Zone. On September 10th, the team visited Loitanit Village (pop. 225) and Sike Village (pop.105), seeking permission from the village elders to share the Gospel and potentially plant a church.

Both of these villages did not have a Christian church present, and the people are dominated by cultural beliefs and traditional doctrines such as witchcraft. Thankfully, the elders agreed that the Share Team could come back to hold evangelistic meetings and share the Good News of Jesus in their villages.

On September 22nd – 26th, the team returned to Loitanit and Sike Villages. They began by screening The Jesus Film in Loitanit Village. Ninety-six people attended the screening, with 19 accepting Christ as their Savior. Over the next three days the team did homestead-to-homestead evangelism, held open-air meetings, and did gender-age-appropriate ministry teachings. A new church was planted in Loitanit Village! Hallelujah!

In total 95 people accepted Christ62 were baptized, and 59 vowed to attend the newly planted church regularly. Zone Representative, John Ebei, will oversee the church. Of these new believers, 10 have indicated that they would like to be trained to become Champions and eventually shepherd their own Lighthouse! The 10 proposed Champions each received an Audio Bible.

In Kachoda Zone there are 4 Motivators/Evangelists that oversee 13 churches and 27 Lighthouses, with 161 disciples currently attending. An additional 43 people came to saving faith in Christ through the ministry of the local church. There are still 5 unreached villages in this zone that will be reached with the Gospel message by 2027.

EVANGELIST MICHAEL NAKULEU’S TESTIMONY

My name is Michael Esekon Nakuleu. I am from Kachoda Zone. I have three churches and one Lighthouse. My churches are in Nakolonyoi, Kaalem and Ekalale akwaan villages. I am grateful to God because he saved me.

During my youth, I was an unbelievably bad person; I used to drink alcohol of all kinds in pubs and in the villages. I even used chewable drugs and smoked cigarettes at the time.

When I heard the Word of God; that Word stirred my heart, and I realized that this world would consume me. If I continued the path I was on, it would kill me. I decided to follow Jesus Christ, and when I watched The Jesus Film and saw Jesus on the cross, I understood that Jesus died on the cross for all sinners, including me. That is what encouraged me to accept Christ’s forgiveness and follow Jesus Christ, and He is now my Savior.

When the Audio Bibles were brought by Share International, I saw that it was good because it helped those who do not know how to read, to hear the Word of God. And that Word will help someone to know that God is life, the only way of truth. Now, everybody who accepts Jesus finds eternal life.

I am grateful to God for those who provided the Audio Bibles. May God bless them. Thank you.

COVENANT-WAPET SENDING CENTER
(Est. January 2023)

The Covenant-Wapet Sending Center is located in Kalobeyei Zone. Sammy Lokir is the teacher. There are about 84 students that attend classes here. They are becoming proficient in their reading, writing, and math. They enjoy hearing from God’s Word. This month when Next-Gen Coordinator, Mary Esinyen, visited the center, she taught about God’s creation. The students asked if they could go outside, so they moved the classroom outside so the children could observe with their eyes all the things that God created. The children are also learning to hide God’s Word in their heart and are memorizing Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer.

The Sending Center is also used for Sunday worship services. Pastor James Maisa leads a congregation of 65. There is no clean water or food provided for the children at this facility, which means that some of the children do not come to school.

KIRCHNER-LOKIDING SENDING CENTER
(Est. December 2023)

The Kirchner-Lokiding Sending Center is located just north of the Wapet Sending Center. This center recently welcomed a new teacher, Lina Ekidor Ewoi. She has 65 students under her tutorship leadership. The students are continuing to expand their knowledge with reading, writing, and math. They have studied about God’s creation and have learned how to pray and sing songs. Pray that this Sending Center would obtain a permanent teacher. The teacher only stays for a short time due to lack of support. Shortage of food and water is also a large factor in preventing more students from coming to school.

Sharing Christ with the NEXT Generation

Where We Serve

Our ministry reaches the children and families of Turkanaland, Toposaland, and Nyanga’tomland communities — some of the most remote and unreached areas of northern Kenya and the surrounding regions.

Why This Matters

When the Gospel was first introduced to these communities, children were often left out. During worship services, they were sent outside for being “noisy,” and few people took the time to teach them the Word of God. As a result, generations have grown up without a strong biblical foundation.

Today, we see a great need — and a great opportunity — to reach these children with the life-changing message of Christ.

The Need

Children in Turkanaland, Toposaland, and Nyanga’tomland communities need to be equipped with the Word of God. To achieve this, we must:

  • Train and empower more Sunday School teachers.
  • Provide Bible Kits (including Audio and hard-copy Bibles, DMM bookmarks, and teaching materials).
  • Establish and strengthen Sunday School programs in every church.
  • Help children grow in faith and build a solid spiritual foundation for life.

As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us:
“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Our Response

At Share International, we are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to know Christ and grow in His Word. The Bible Kits have become a vital tool for both teachers and children.

In areas where formal education is limited, Audio Bibles in local languages have made the Gospel accessible to families and children who cannot read. They can now hear God’s Word in their own homes, in their heart language.

We have witnessed remarkable testimonies — stories of faith, transformation, and hope — arising from the use of these tools! The Turkana hard-copy Bibles and Audio Bibles continue to strengthen believers and draw more children to Christ.

How You Can Help

Your financial partnership makes this possible. With your support, we can:

  • Distribute more Bible Kits and teaching materials.
  • Sponsor training sessions for Sunday School teachers.
  • Equip churches with Audio and hard-copy Bibles in local languages.
  • Expand outreach to new villages and communities.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us reach more children with the Gospel and raise a generation rooted in God’s truth.

Gratitude

We thank our faithful partners and donors whose generosity has already enabled many families and children to hear and respond to the Word of God. Together, we are shaping the spiritual future of the next generation.
