New Years Greetings!

Greetings! Since our last email a lot has been happening in Turkana. This year we are going to try and keep you up-to-date on the monthly mission outreaches that happen throughout the year and give you a few trips down memory lane with photos of past STORM Alumni groups. We will also update you on any special events that will happen, like new villages reached with the Gospel, discipleship of new believers, worship structures going up, and other events as they happen.

Mini – STORM in Kachoda Block

In December of 2018, the SHARE team from Lodwar traveled to the Kachoda Block in northeastern Turkana to share the Gospel of Jesus in 3 different villages. They visited the villages of Kangipusia (pop. 600), Sasame (2,600) and Nabulkok (520). They shared the Gospel with over 250 people. A total of 78 people gave their lives to Christ.

Currently there are about 40 unreached villages in the Kachoda Block.  Please continue to pray that the Gospel Seed that has been planted in these 3 new villages will continue to grow and spread.

Prayer Requests:

  • The health of the missionaries and their families; open hearts among the people they are reaching
  • SHARE staff in Lodwar: Jacktan Kaachi – Share Int’l Team of Evangelism (SITE) Coordinator

Jacktan’s responsibilities are to go into unreached villages to pave the way for the Mini-Storm teams. He screens The Jesus Film to the villagers, preaches and explains the Gospel, invites the audience to receive Christ as their personal Savior, then invites them to come back the following day to learn more about who Jesus is and what He has done for them.

Vision Trip 2019: Pray for the VISION team that will be visiting Turkana in February. That God would use them to share the love of Jesus with the Turkana people and show them how they can be involved post-trip.

SHARE International has a monthly budget need of $58,533. Any monthly donation would be greatly appreciated. Please consider serving as an ambassador for the Turkana people right where God has placed you. The Share Director – Sammy Murimi – is open to share at your Small Group upon invitation.
