    2023

    December

    In December, Monitor Johnson reported that the people in Korinyang Village are small scale farmers and pastoralists. There are about 231 members that attend services weekly in the mother church. The 10 Champions are each leading a Lighthouse with 58 disciples attending. These discples have led 8 others to Christ in 2023. The daughter church in Aligoi is about 3 miles from the mother church and Johnson walks here every other week to miniter to the congregation. There are about 77 believers in this church. The disciples in the daughter church have led 5 others to Christ in 2023.

    November

    In November, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church where approximately 109 attended each Sunday. Fifteen new members joined this month when Lighthouse disciples shared the Gospel message and led them to Christ this month. He did an outreach in Aligoi Village and 9 people accepted Christ. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He asks you to pray with him for the children as they go back to school and for peace in the area.

    October

    In October, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church where approximately 137 attended each Sunday. Ten new members joined this month. Lighthouse disciples led 5 people to Christ this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He asks you to pray with him for God’s divine favor in doing ministry and for strength as he walks from village to village.

    August

    In August, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church where approximately 141 attended each Sunday. Twenty-seven new members joined this month. Lighthouse disciples led 24 people to Christ this month. He did an outreach in Aligoi Village and 13 people made a decision to follow Christ. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and that the DMM progress is going well. He asks you to pray with him that more people would accept Christ, and for the outreach in Kalokoda next month and for much needed rain.

    July

    In July, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church where approximately 163 attended each Sunday. Twelve new members joined this month. Lighthouse disciples led 17 people to Christ this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He asks you to pray with him for rain, for peace and for those suffering because of the drought.

    June

    In June, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church. Approximately 109 attended each Sunday in the mother church. He did an outreach in Aligoi Village and 9 people accepted Christ. Lighthouse disciples led 15 people to Christ this month and they joined the church. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He asks you to pray with him that the families would be able to obtain the funding that they need for their children’s education and for peace in the area.

    In May, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church. Approximately 99 attended each Sunday in the mother church. He did an outreach in Kagintankori Village and 5 people accepted Christ. Lighthouse disciples led 24 people to Christ this month and 4 new members joined the church this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for those that came to Christ this month. He asks you to pray with him that the families would be able to obtain the funding that they need for their children’s education.

    April

    In April, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church. Approximately 103 attended each Sunday in the mother church. He did an outreach in Kaikai and Narionumoru Villages and 17 people accepted Christ and 34 baptized! Lighthouse disciples led 12 people to Christ this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for God providing rain. He asks you to pray with him for peace and safety and that God would meet their every need.

    March

    In March, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church. Approximately 92 attended each Sunday in the mother church. Lighthouse disciples led 9 people to Christ this month and 7 new members joined the church this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for God’s endless love. He asks you to pray with him for much needed rain in Turkana and for peace between the Pokot and Turkana people.

    February

    In February, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church. Approximately 98 attended each Sunday in the mother church. He held an outreach in Kaikai Village and 9 people accepted Christ. Lighthouse disciples led 7 people to Christ this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor and for God’s endless love. He held an outreach in Kaikai Village and 7 people accepted Christ and 45 were baptized! Johnson has 96 Lighthouses (Disciple-Making Groups) with 53 disciples attending! He is excited that the DMM training is going well. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor.


    2022

    December

    In December, Monitor Johnson reported that there are 219 members in the mother church in Korinyang Village. In the daughter church in Aligoi Village, there are 57 members. There are 10 Champions who each are leading their own Lighthouse where they are teaching other disciples how to make disciples of others. Johnson plans to reach 1 more village in 2023 – Nakuruchanait!

    November

    In November, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church, and about 116 members attended each Sunday. He also shared the Gospel in Kagitankori Village again, and 7 people accepted Christ and were baptized. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor.

    In May, Monitor Johnson ministered in both churches. About 89 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 93 attended in the daughter church. 2 people accepted Christ as Savior.     In March, Monitor Johnson held services in the mother church, and about 101 members attended each Sunday. The SHARE Team assisted him in planting a church in Ageles Village! Champion Eliya Nabwel Eonyot who is under Johnson will be the pastor there.

    February

    In February, Monitor Johnson held services in the mother church, and about 83 members attended each Sunday. He also shared the Gospel in Kalutankor Village, and 23 people were saved. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor.

    January

    In January, Monitor Johnson reported that there are 181 members in the mother church in Korinyang Village and 63 members in the daughter church in Aligoi. In addition to regular church services, Joseph does sacraments, baptisms, homestead-to-homestead evangelism, and teaches the DMM methodology.


    2021

    December

    In December, Monitor Johnson ministered to both his churches. Approximately 154 believers met each week in the mother church and 79 met in the daughter church. Fifteen people accepted Christ when the Gospel was shared. Johnson is praising God that the DMM is going well. He is also grateful for the support that he receives and asks that you pray with him for strength to walk from village to village and that they would get relief from the drought.

    November

    In November, Monitor Johnson ministered to the mother church in Koriyang Village where 120 believers met for services each week. Three people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared. Johnson is grateful for the support that he receives and asks that you pray with him for strength as he walks from village to village and for the drought to end.

    October

    In October, Monitor Johnson ministered in the mother church where 98 members attended each Sunday. Three people accepted Christ when he shared the Gospel this month. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He is planning outreaches in Ageles Village, 5 kms/3.1 miles away, and Aderoit Village, about 20 kms/12.4 miles away, before the end of the year. He is grateful that the DMM is progressing and asks that you pray with him for more adult teachers.

    September

    In September, Monitor Johnson ministered in 2 churches. About 107 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 72 attended in the daughter church in Aligoi Village. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He is planning outreaches in Ageles Village, 5 kms/3.1 miles away, and Aderoit Village, about 20 kms/12.4 miles away, before the end of the year. He requests prayers for continued strength to walk the long distances between the villages and for rain for the drought stricken land. He is grateful that the Lighthouses have increased.

    August

    In August, Monitor Johnson ministered in 2 churches. About 94 members attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 73 attended in the daughter church in Aligoi Village. He also shared the Gospel in Ekoropus Village, and 2 people accepted Christ. Johnson is grateful for the continued support from his sponsor. He requests prayers for continued strength to walk the long distances between the villages and for more DMM materials.

    In July, Monitor Johnson ministered to his mother church family. Approximately 144 attended each Sunday in the mother church and 77 members met in one of the daughter churches. He also shared the Gospel in Ekoropus Village and 3 people accepted Christ. Johnson is planning outreaches in Ageles Village (15 kms/9.3 miles away) and Aderoit Village ( 20 kms/ 12.4 miles) by the end of 2021. He is grateful for the support that he receives from his sponsor and  asks that you pray with him for strength to walk the long distances between the villages and also for the believers that are needing to migrate in search of food and water for their livestock that they would remain strong in their faith. He is also grateful the the DMM training is going well.

    June

    In June, Monitor Johnson ministered to his mother church family. Approximately 156 attended each Sunday in the mother church and 79 members met in one of the daughter churches. He also shared the Gospel in Kagitankor Village and 5 people accepted Christ. 9 new members were added to the daughter church this month. Johnson is planning outreaches in Ageles Village (15 kms/9.3 miles away) and Aderoit Village ( 20 kms/ 12.4 miles) by the end of 2021. He is grateful for the support that he receives from his sponsor and  asks that you pray with him for the members of his congregation that are migrating in search of water for their livestock that they would stay strong in their faith.

    In April, Monitor Johnson ministered to 2 of his church families. Approximately 158 attended each Sunday in the mother church, and 77 attended in the daughter church in Aligoi Village. Johnson is planning outreaches in Ageles Village (15 kms/9.3 miles away) by the end of 2021. He is grateful for the support that he receives from his sponsor and asks that you pray with him for rain during this season of drought.
