    Their economic activities include nomadic pastoralists and farming during rainy seasons, while some are doing small scale business in the village. The village is known for general worship of idols under the control of demonic spirits, in which, witchdoctors are the mediums. Some common idols of worship in the area are the stars, moon, and charms. The villagers believe these idols to be the source of life and protection.

    Church Progress:
    As a result of evangelizing and witnessing by James Ekiru Emoru, the church members and enrollment are increasing rapidly. Approximately 45 adults, 40 youth, 22 children have given their lives to Christ and worship together in the mother church alone. The daughter church in Padatum Village has approximately 30 children and 60 adults who attend regularly.

    February 2020

    In February, Motivator James shared the Gospel with the Village of Moruongor, and 15 people accepted Christ and were baptized. He disciples a class of 34 members. 192 people attended Sunday services. They added 17 new members this month. James is planning outreaches in the villages of Loperot, Nalemkais, Lomeluku, and Atoot Aimotu in the future. He is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor.

    February 2019

    Missionary James is the pastor of the church in Katioko, where the average attendance at services is 57. He has 13 people attending discipleship class. They did an outreach in the village of Padatum, where a church was planted. About 20 people meet weekly in that village. They added two new church members this month. He has two elders who have been trained to help him in his work of evangelism.
