UPDATES FROM THE FIELD:

2023

December

In December, Motivator Immanuel reported that the people of Ikosowan provide for their families by making baskets and selling charcoal. The mother church has about 126 members that attend regularly. There are 2 Champions who each are leading a Lighthouse. The daughter churches are between 4 and 7 miles away from the mother church and Immanuel walks that distance weekly to minister to the members there. There is one Lighthouse in each of the daughter churches and the disciples have led 5 people to Christ in 2023. Immanuel has also identified 2 unreached villages nearby and plans to reach these villages in 2024.

November

In November, Motivator Immanuel ministered in both churches. In the mother church in Ikosowan Village, 68 members met weekly for services and in Namorutunga Village where 46 believers met for services. Two new members joined the mother church this month. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor and is praising God that their families were kept from harm this month. He asks that you pray with him for an end to the drought.

OCtober

In October, Motivator Immanuel ministered in both churches. In the mother church in Ikosowan Village, 57 members met weekly for services and in Namorutunga Village where 44 believers met for services. One new member joined the mother church and 2 joined the daughter church this month. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor. He asks that you pray with him for those who are ill and for strength as he walks from village to village.

September

In September, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 50 members met weekly for services. He also held services in Namorutunga Village where 35 believers met for services. Four disciples shared their faith stories with others and led 2 people to Christ. Two new members joined the mother church and 2 joined the daughter church this month. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor. He asks that you pray with him for the church leadership and for strength as he walks from village to village.

August

In August, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 68 members met weekly for services. He also held services in Namorutunga Village where 29 believers met for services. Two disciples shared their faith stories with others and led them to Christ. Eighteen new members joined the mother church and 2 joined the daughter church this month. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor. He asks that you pray with him that the church could raise the funds to build a permanent building.

July

In July, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 58 members met weekly for services. He also held services in Namorutunga Village where 19 believers met for services. Two disciples shared their faith stories with others and led them to Christ. Two new members joined both the mother church and the daughter church this month. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor and for those that came to Christ this month. June

May

In May, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 66 members met weekly for services. Seven new members were added to the church this month and 2 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared. March

In March, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 60 members met weekly for services. Two new members were added to the church this month. He also held services in Namorutunga Village where 43 believers met for services. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor and for the rain that they received. February

In February, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 54 members met weekly for services. Four new members were added to the church this month. He also held services in Namorutunga Village where 26 believers met for services. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor and for God’s goodness upon them. January

In January, Motivator Immanuel ministered in the mother church in Ikosowan Village where 70 members met weekly for services. He also held services in Namorutunga Village where 22 believers met for services and two people accepted when the Gospel message was shared. Immanuel is grateful for the support he receives from his sponsor and asks that you pray with him for the many that are migrating because of the drought.

December

In December, Motivator Immanuel reported that there are 123 members in the mother church in Ikosowan Village. In the daughter churches, there are 12 members in Namorutunga Village, and 48 in Ekorimoru Village. There are 2 Champions who are each leading their own Lighthouses where they are teaching disciples how to make disciples of others. Immanuel plans to reach 2 more villages in 2023 – Kalodir & Natiir!

November

In November, Motivator Immanuel ministered in 3 churches. About 72 members attended each Sunday in the mother church in Ikosowan Village, 57 attended in the daughter church in Kanugukunyang Village, and 75 attended in the daughter church in Namorutunga Village. 1 person accepted Christ. Immanuel is grateful for the support from his sponsor.

October

In October, Motivator Immanuel ministered in 2 churches. About 50 members attended each Sunday in the mother church in Ikosowan Village, and 72 attended in the daughter church in Kanugukunyang Village. He also shared the Gospel in Kalodir Village, and one person accepted Christ. Immanuel is grateful for the support from his sponsor.

September

In September, Motivator Immanuel ministered in 2 churches. About 54 members attended each Sunday in the mother church in Ikosowan Village, 113 attended in the daughter church in Kanugukunyang Village. 3 new members were added to the mother church this month and one person accepted Christ. Immanuel is grateful for the support from his sponsor and for the DMM classes that are progressing well.

About 85 members attended each Sunday in the mother church in Ikosowan Village, 99 attended in the daughter church in Kanugukunyang Village. 14 new members were added to the mother church this month and 3 people accepted Christ when the Gospel message was shared. About 65 members attended services each Sunday in the mother church, and 97 attended in the daughter church. 5 people accepted Christ as Savior when the Gospel was shared in Namorutunga Village. Two new members were added to the daughter church and 4 members were added to the mother church this month. Immanuel is grateful for the support from his sponsor.
