     Despite the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, DMM (Disciple-Making Movement) cell-groups/Lighthouses in Kalemng’orok Zone are still meeting (while observing social distancing) in some villages. Meetings in a few Lighthouses have been halted due to the Kenya government’s stern warnings about the virus. However, Motivators and Champions are doing all they can to ensure disciples continue to grow spiritually and the Gospel continues to spread.

    In the past month, four more Lighthouses have been established in Kalemng’orok Zone! There are now a total of 13 of them throughout the Zone, with 11 trained Champions actively teaching believers how to make disciples of others. There are 74 disciples enrolled in the Lighthouses, at least 5 of whom have successfully led others to faith in Christ! The believers in the Zone thank God for His sufficient grace; that even during this perilous time the Kingdom of God is still increasing in number (Acts 16:5). Even witchdoctors (“Ngimurok” in the Turkana language) are turning from their old ways and becoming disciple-makers and Champions of their own Lighthouses!

PRAYER REQUESTS
  • God to provide funds for construction of Kalemng’orok Zone DMM Center
  • New believers to become disciple-makers

PRAISES
  • DMM cell-groups throughout the 10 Zones continue to report increasing number of disciples!
  • Provision of funds to construct Chokchok Zone DMM Center!
PETITIONS
  • Sixteen coronavirus cases have been reported in Turkanaland. Pray that God will intervene.
  • Peace between Turkana and the neighboring Jie tribe of Uganda
  • Successful construction of the DMM Center in Chokchok Zone, the 6th one of the 10 Centers planned for Turkanaland
  • Successful start of sinking a water borehole in Nakiria Zone
